Memorial Day weekend is here – and a number of restaurants have announced discounts and freebies to mark the occasion.

Memorial Day 2021 deals & freebies
Ace Hardware: Ace Hardware pledges to give away 1 million free 8×12 American flags on Saturday, May 29, 2021. A second flag is donated to a local VFW Post to be used mark the graves of those who once served. No purchase necessary; while supplies last. Read more about this effort by clicking here. A Story Before Bed: This offer is available year-round for military parents. Members of one of the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces who are deploying or already deployed are eligible to sign up for free recordings from A Story Before Bed. Parents can make a video recording of themselves reading a book for their children.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill: This chain, which has locations throughout South Florida, honors military service members and first-responders all year long with a 10 percent-off Heroes Discount. Additionally, if you want to thank a service member or first-responder, buy them a gift card! For every $50 you purchase in gift cards online, you get a $10 bonus card. The redemption period is from May 17-July 18, 2021.
Fogo de Chão: Veterans and active duty personnel enjoy 50 percent off their meal at Fogo de Chão on Memorial Day. Plus, up to three guests get 10 percent off their meal.
Ford: Ford offers a special discount on vehicles for customers who are military and first-responders. This offer is valid at any time. Enter your Zip code to find the nearest Ford dealer and learn details.

Miller’s Ale House: Active military members and veterans get 50 percent off an entree with proof of service. There are locations throughout South Florida. Find your nearest one by clicking here. (Plus, you can get a $5 Bonus Card with the purchase of a $35 gift card. That offer ends June 27.)
Outback Steakhouse: Every day, all servicemen and servicewomen, police officers, firefighters and first-responders get 10 percent off their entire check.

Pizza Hut: Pizza is perfect for every holiday, including Memorial Day. Have an inexpensive pizza party over the holiday weekend, thanks to Pizza Hut’s ongoing deals and discounts. Share a slice of pizza and fun with the family…plus, it’s an set-up and easy clean-up for the party planner.
SleepNumber.com: A $100 military discount is available for all Sleep Number smart beds and adjustable bases. You must confirm online that you have served in the U.S. military in order to receive a promo code.
STK Steakhouse: All veterans and active duty personnel get 20 percent off the check for their in-person dining visit at STK Steakhouse on Memorial Day. In addition, the steakhouse is offering its famed Wagyu Burger and Fries for as little as $7.99 (price varies by location), when ordered for takeout or delivery. Texas de Brazil: Active duty military and veterans with valid badge or ID receive 20 percent off their lunch or dinner prices at Texas de Brazil. The offer applies to accompanying diners as well — up to four at the table. It’s available year-round, but not on holidays. Except for Memorial Day of course!
Memorial Day 2020 deals & freebies
The Fresh Market: A military appreciation discount of 10 percent off is available from May 23-25. The discount includes spouses but is not valid on alcohol or gift cards.
Red Lobster: Present your military ID on Mondays at Red Lobster and receive 10 percent off your meal. Restrictions apply. Call to validate the offer for curbside service.
Quiznos: Military personnel receive an 8-inch sub with the purchase of an 8-inch sub and two bottled drinks from May 22 to May 25, 2020. Offer is only valid at participating restaurants, and you must present your military ID. Call your local Quiznos first to verify the offer.
