Golden Ticket Senior Arts Guide available in November

Seniors, with the arts season gearing up in the Fall all the way through April and May 2020, now is the time to take advantage of the Golden Ticket Senior Arts Guide.

The guide provides free tickets to the arts for Miami-Dade County seniors residents. The Golden Ticket Arts Guide features free cultural offerings for seniors ages 62 and over. To obtain the guide call 305-499-8755 or complete the Golden Ticket mailing list form to receive a copy in the mail. Golden Ticket Guides are also at local Miami-Dade Public Library System branches and Miami-Dade County Commission District Offices.

Here’s how to use the guide:

First, review the guide to find events or cultural venues that you would like to visit. Seniors are required to call the corresponding organization to make a reservation as the Golden Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Golden Tickets will be available two weeks before an event. We recommend you call as early as possible to reserve your ticket. Check each listing and organization for specific information.

The day of the event you must clip a Golden Ticket coupon from the guide and fill out the back with the appropriate information. At the venue entrance you must present the following:

  • Golden Ticket coupon per person
  • Photo ID showing proof of age (62 years) and Miami-Dade County residency
  • Senior centers or large groups that wish to attend a Golden Ticket event/venue must contact the participating organization in advance to make special Group Visit arrangements.

Seniors who are 65 years of age and are permanent residents of Miami-Dade County are eligible to ride Miami-Dade Transit free with a Golden Passport transit pass. For more information click here, or call Miami-Dade Transit Costumer Service at (305) 770-3131. TTY Users should call (305) 654-6530.
