Gold Coast Museum free National Train Day events

national-train-dayThe Gold Coast Railroad Museum is offering free admission all day on Saturday, June 6, for National Train Day.

The event will include a talk called “Dinner on the Diners,” by Jonathon Nelson, a Florida East Coast Railways historian.

The museum houses 30 historic trains and features a number of displays that are interactive. Tickets to ride a train range from $2.50 to $12 per ticket. The museum is great for any train enthusiast, Thomas the Tank Engine lover or young kids. The food is reasonably priced (Frankie’s pizza food truck!) and there are plenty of trains to explore.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The museum is located next to Zoo Miami at 12450 S.W. 152nd Street, Miami, 33177-1402. Tel: (305) 253-0063 or gcrm.org
