Offering a sneak peek of an upcoming play, Area Stage is hosting a free stage reading of “La Noche/The Night,” by playwright Jose Luis Acosta on Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Area Stage Company in Coral Gables.
The play is set to have a dual stage premiere next year at Cervantes Theater in London in English and at Area Stage Company in Spanish.
The Spanish-language reading is part of South Florida Theatre League’s Stages of the Sun: Readings of Short Plays by South Florida Theatre League Playwrights. The series is part of the 2019 Summer Theatre Fest.
