SHOPPING AND HOLIDAY FUN

  • Find great deals and start shopping for the holidays early. Malls are open and you can also shop online, of course. Click here to see our guide to mall hours for Black Friday.
  • Speaking of malls, their holiday displays and photos with Santa are opening this weekend. Plan to visit the train display or Dr. Seuss’ Grinch’s Grotto at Aventura Mall, or catch a snowfall at either The Falls or Dadeland Mall. Click here for details.

  • Visit Santa’s Wonderland at the Bass Pro Shops with free family holiday activities and a festive display of rustic Christmas cabins, holiday characters and live elves in front of illuminated Christmas trees. Santa will be there, too, for photographs, with socially distanced partition in place.
  • Holiday displays are starting to pop up around Miami. Pinecrest Gardens and Deering Estate are both debuting their festive lights. The tree is up at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami, and you can take a drive up to the enchanting Enchanted Place in North Miami for more holiday fun. Click here for a full rundown of the Christmas lights and decor around Miami.

WEEKEND AT THE MOVIES

  • Catch a movie at Coral Gables Art Cinema or Tower Theater Miami. Yes, those theaters are open with social-distancing guidelines and mask-wearing regulations. Watching virtually is also an option with O Cinema. The drive-ins are also still going strong, too. Click here to read our roundup of movie options and see what’s playing where.
