It was like a springtime tradition. In past years, Dairy Queen has served up free ice cream cones on the first day of spring. However, this promotion will not take place in 2021.

According to a Dairy Queen announcement on its Facebook page, the decision was made because Free Cone Day typically attracts large crowds. The hope is the event returns in 2022.

Throughout the past 32 years, Dairy Queen has raised more than $120 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
