Butterfly Festival replaced with free outdoor events

Organizers are replacing Butterfly Festival with free family-friendly outdoor events offering opportunities for distancing. 

Some events require pre-registration.

First 250 vehicles receive popcorn. No pre-registration required.

  • 7 p.m. February 12 “Trolls World Tour”
  • 7 p.m. February 19 “Greatest Showman”
  • 7 p.m. February 26 “Frozen 2”

Outdoor concerts

Free with $25 refundable deposit is required for residents, $50 for non-residents. Deposit holds reservation & is refunded to attendees

  • 6 p.m. February 13 Simply Tina, Tina Turner tribute
  • 6 p.m. February 20 Shane Duncan band, country
  • 6 p.m. February 27 Matchbox 2.0, Hootie & the Blowfish/Matchbox 20 Tribute

For a free family-friendly event, Butterfly Festival in north Broward features  entertainment, rides, business expo, activities, fireworks  and vendors.

The festival is  in Sable Pines Park, 5005 NW 39 Avenue

Featured entertainment is Simply Queen, performing Queen songs 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
