Free admission to Vizcaya for veterans and military personnel

For the next eight months, veterans and military personnel can visit one of Miami’s National Historic Landmarks for free.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is offering free admission to the nation’s veterans and active duty military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve, from Labor Day, Sept. 4, 2017 through Memorial Day, May 28, 2018. The program honors those who have sacrificed their lives to protect our nation. Visitors need to present their military identification at the ticket booth.

Located at 3251 South Miami Ave., Vizcaya is open Wednesday through Monday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. (closed Tuesdays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). For more information, visit www.vizcaya.org or call 305-250-9133.

And, by the way, if you’re wondering what other places in Miami are on the National Register of Historic Places, there are 73 and you can see the list here.
