The LGBT community celebrates proudly with several events. We’ve listed the top free events here: the beach party festival and parade April 7-8 in Miami Beach. We’ve also included the HEAT Loud and Proud Dance Party on April 4.

Beach Party Festival

More than 125 LGBT-friendly vendors and businesses, exciting celebrities, musical performances, refreshments, food and a family-friendly play area will be on hand at the festival. An estimated 130,000 people, including many tourists, attended last year’s event.  Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Headliner band: Betty Who (performance at 9 pm).

Noon – 10 pm Saturday, April 7. Lummus Park on Ocean Drive from 11th to 14th Streets.

Parade

11:30am – 2pm Sunday, April 8. Starts on 5th Street and Ocean Drive and travels north to 15th Street. Featuring parade marshals Gus Kenworthy and Roxanne Vargas. You can also view the parade from The Clevelander live on the main screen and all other TVs from 12-2 with Emcee TP Lords.

HEAT Loud and Proud Dance Party

The Miami HEAT are hosting the 2nd Annual free Loud and Proud Dance Party, an evening for all of South Florida, especially the LGBTQ community, to dance, have fun and celebrate life and diversity. Join the Miami HEAT Dancers, HEAT Mascot, Burnie and the Xtreme Team as they dance all night long with attendees from 9 pm – Midnight. RSVP here.  (Must be 18-years-of age or older)
