Financial assistance to Miami-Dade residents through local program

Miami-Dade residents if you’re still in need of financial assistance, here’s encouraging news.

If your current financial hardship is due to the current pandemic, Miami-Dade County has partnered with United Way of Miami-Dade to create the local Pandemic Assistance Program. Applicants are eligible for up to $2,000 per household.

According to the Miami-Dade County website:

“The Miami-Dade Pandemic Assistance Program has been established to address the short-term economic disruptions on working families in Miami-Dade County by providing hardship assistance. Funding for this program is provided by Miami-Dade County as a part of the federal CARES Act relief provided to the state of Florida.”

Here are some guidelines:

Once you complete the form, which is estimated to take approximately 30 minutes, a community representative will assess your eligibility.

Applicants are urged to carefully complete the form in its entirety. Otherwise, you may be contacted for further information. Incomplete applications will take longer than the expected 10 days for processing.
