Fall harvest festivals popping up around Miami

OK, OK, so we don’t really have a fall season in Miami, but the weather gets cooler and it’s really nice out. Our version of fall foliage is the Royal Poinciana in the summer.

Although things are different in 2020, there are still spots hosting harvest festivals to celebrate all things Fall!

THE BERRY FARMS

The Berry Farms Harvest Festival, continues through Nov. 8 with fun activities for the whole family, including:

  • A pumpkin patch, where you can pick that perfect one for your house!
  • A corn maze for endless hours of fun weaving around.
  • Games like cornhole, old-fashioned tic-tac-toe, checkers and shuffleboard.
  • Tractor rides around the property.
  • Photo ops in a sunflower field, on a tractor or in the corn field.

The festival will also have a variety of foods for purchase including waffles, fresh shakes and juices, and plenty of vegetables.

Hours: 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Cost: Weekday admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children age 3 and older; weekend admission is $15 for adults and $12 for age 3 and older.

Deals alert: Save $3 off admission Monday through Wednesday after 3 p.m.

THE LITTLE FARM MIAMI

This year, The Little Farm Fall Festival will take place from Oct. 10 to Nov. 1 – and by reservation only to ensure social distancing. Click here to reserve a spot.

The festival includes:

  • Pumpkin patch
  • Harvest market
  • Petting zoos
  • Kids’ hay maze
  • Butterfly garden
  • Pony rides
  • Outdoor games 
  • Fall-themed photo opportunities
  • Food for purchase from local vendors

Hours: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 10-11 and then 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 1.

Cost: $10 admission; free for kids younger than age 1; pony rides cost an additional $2 for children 5’4″ and under. 

The Little Farm is located at 13401 SW 224th St., Goulds, and the event entrance is off Southwest 222nd Street and 137 Avenue. Orange flags mark the way.

Oct. 17-31: Miami Springs Pumpkin Patch & Harvest Festival 200 block of Curtiss Parkway in Miami Springs. Mon.-Sat. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday 1-8 p.m. Hosted by Poinciana United Methodist Church, come choose from one of hundreds of pumpkins and enjoy fall festivities including plenty of homemade pumpkin breads, pies and muffins.
