Downtown dining deals with Go Local, Go Direct campaign

Need a break from the kitchen?

Clean-up sure is easier when you get take-out, and now you can save on delivery orders from downtown Miami restaurants, thanks to the Miami Downtown Development Authority’s Go Local, Go Direct campaign.

To keep up with latest news, sign up for the daily Miami on the Cheap newsletter. You can also follow us on Facebook and on Twitter and visit our Facebook group page

It’s all part of the DDA’s effort to help restaurants – offering customers 10 percent off delivery when ordering directly from participating restaurants.

How does this help the restaurant owner? “By fulfilling orders directly, restaurants will avoid paying substantial fees to third-party delivery services, helping to ensure continuous food service in the urban core,” according to the Miami DDA website.

And the downtown urban core is brimming with eateries that read like our very own league of nations: Choose from  Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Japanese, Brazilian, French and Peruvian cuisine.

Know, too, that the offer isn’t just limited to lunch and dinner. There are also a few breakfast spots in the mix!

Click here to see the list of participating restaurants and get busy ordering … and eating! And remember, keep checking back as it’s likely more restaurants will sign up to participate.
