“We’re excited about 2022 and expect that pent-up demand for the festival will bring our longtime and respected guests back out in droves to celebrate our return,” said the festival’s president, Monty Trainer, in a news release.
The outdoor festival, which began in 1963, features classic to unconventional, contemporary to eccentric, festival artists exhibit in mixed media: painting, photography, digital art, printmaking/drawing, watercolor, claywork, glass, fiber, jewelry/metalwork, sculpture and wood. There’s also a category for new and emerging artists and a “Family Zone” with arts-focused activities for kids of all ages.
Admission is $15 per person per day, but discounts are available if you purchase your tickets online. More details will be added about discounts as we get closer to the date. Entry is free for children age 12 and younger, Metrorail Golden Passport and Patriot Passport holders.
