Create your own Youth Fair experience

Create your own Youth Fair experience

With the annual Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo postponed, the organizers have created a virtual experience on their website to appease the loyal fans that attend every year. Although it’s not the same as being there, of course, the virtual rides on their YouTube page are the next best thing to the drops, spins and adrenaline rushes they provide.

Visit their website and take a virtual ride on popular rollercoasters like Crazy Mouse, Blitzer, the high-flying Freak Out and Space Roller and heart-dropping Speed/Mach 3.

To keep up with latest news, sign up for the daily Miami on the Cheap newsletter. You can also follow us on Facebook and on Twitter.

Or, maybe the exhibitions and colorful gardens are more your style. Browse through the Arnold and Edwards Hall and view this year’s student projects ranging from visual arts and photography to cultural and scientific dioramas. Then peruse the lush gardens that feature colorful flowers, greenery and fountains.

You can also duplicate some of the most popular foods at the fair thanks to their “Make Your Own Fair Recipes” section. Learn to make roasted corn, corn dogs, funnel cakes and fried Oreos.
