Freebies & discounts with COVID vaccination card – UPDATED

Getting your COVID-19 vaccine can do more than protect you from the virus. Turns out, your COVID vaccine card can get you free and discounted stuff, too!

Businesses throughout Miami are doing their part to encourage vaccination by sweetening the deal with bonus offers. Just flash your vaccination card to take advantage of them.

Here’s a list of businesses offering COVID vaccine freebies and discounts. Check with each business, as some deals may change or expire.

Panera

Get a free bagel daily at Panera Bread locations throughout Miami from July 2-4, 2021 — just for being vaccinated. No other purchase is required. The offer is limited to participating shops, while supplies last. It does not include online or delivery orders. Click here for more information. 

NFL, NASCAR, and MLS

Sports fans are in luck! Not only is the NFL holding a giveaway for vaccinated fans to win tickets to the 2022 Super Bowl, but you can also get 25 percent off your purchase at NFLShop.com for getting your shot. NASCAR fans will also have the chance to score tickets the Daytona 500, while Major League Soccer is offering vaccinated fans 30 percent off merchandise and the chance to win tickets to the 2021 MLS All-Star Game. Krispy Kreme

One of America’s favorite doughnut chains wants to help you celebrate getting your vaccine through the end of the year. Just show your card to receive a FREE original glazed doughnut at participating Miami shops for the rest of 2021. 

Staples, Office Depot, and OfficeMax

You can keep your vaccination card preserved with free lamination from Staples, Office Depot and OfficeMax. However, please be aware, that laminating these cards is not universally recommended. That’s because booster shots may be necessary later. Use your own judgment as to whether you want to make use of this free service.

Drop 

The e-commerce rewards site is offering users $50 in points for getting vaccinated. Snap a selfie while getting your shot, and then share it with #DropCOVID. Also tag @joindrop and geotag your post. Within 24 hours of posting your pic, they’ll send you a unique code to earn up to $50 in cash rewards. The offer is open to new and existing users through the end of May. 

CVS & Target

This one’s a little different, because it requires more than merely showing your vaccination card. CVS pharmacies are offering the COVID-19 vaccine – and if you get the vaccine at a CVS within a Target store, you will receive a $5 Target coupon. Just enter your ZIP code on the CVS site to see which locations are offering the vaccine – and, specifically, which ones are inside Target stores. (You’ll also be able to see which of the three COVID-19 vaccines they are offering.) For more details, click here. 

Samuel Adams

The beer company wants to help get drinkers back into the bars and restaurants they love. They’re offering to buy your first beer back. Starting April 12, the first 10,000 people who post a picture of their vaccination sticker or bandage with the hashtag #shotforsam – and tag @samueladamsbeer on Twitter or Instagram – receive a DM from Sam Adams offering $7 via Cash App.
