Arsht presents virtual ‘Troll That Stole Hanukkah’ show

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts has been celebrating the season in style.

Its Thomson Plaza is decked out in colorful lights, and its December calendar is brimming with a selection of live and in-person events.

Although many of the Arsht’s holiday-themed programming has now ended, there is still one special event you can catch this weekend: “The Troll That Stole Hanukkah.”

This virtual performance is available through Dec. 19. Once you purchase a ticket, you are emailed a video link. Any tickets purchased on Dec. 19 will have 48 hours to stream the show, according to organizers. Tickets are $15 and include free puppet workshops for kids age 3-6 and age 7 and older.

Here’s the synopsis from the Arsht: “When the village’s shiny silver menorah is stolen by a greedy troll, it’s up to the least likely person to get it back before sunset on Hanukkah. Themes in this highly interactive show include kindness, making friends, and staying calm.”
