Always an anticipated event for the Martin Luther King, Jr. long weekend, this year’s Art Deco Weekend will be a condensed version.
Usually it’s three jam-packed days of in-person programming but for 2021 it will be three online lectures. Presented with Miami Design Preservation League, the talks are free and will be held on Zoom. Click here to register.

Led by leading authorities on Deco design, architecture, art, and history, the talks will spotlight Wolfsonian collection objects from the 1920s and ’30s as well as two jewel-box homes.
Programming highlights domestic spaces and how we shape them—a timely theme in the wake of 2020—with lectures on Deco objects and two architectural jewels, Detroit’s Saarinen House and Los Angeles’s Hollyhock House.
The lecturers are pulling rarely seen images from the vaults and opening up exclusive virtual tours.
