Santa’s Parade of the Elves, a popular South Miami tradition, canceled for 2020

Add Santa’s Parade of the Elves in South Miami to the list of canceled holiday events this year.

Presented by the South Miami Parks & Recreation Department, this popular parade filled the streets with floats, horses, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, dancers, horses, marching bands and more. And let’s not forget Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Once picked as “Best Small-Town Parade” by the Miami New Times, the event along Sunset Drive had become a South Miami tradition that kept growing each year.

The parade joins a list of canceled events that includes Santa’s Enchanted Forest, Coconut Grove Arts Festival and Art Basel Miami Beach. Check out our roundup by clicking here to see if your favorite is there!
