Enjoy a day of family fun at Miami Beach Botanical Garden, where admission is always free. This Sunday, Jan. 24, the garden will have two free activities for children:
- Art in the Park with Marie: A licensed pre-school teacher in her home country of Sweden, Marie Kolbert has been involved in arts her whole life. Art plays an important role in children’s lives, and this free program will give children (toddlers through 8-year-olds) a chance to show their creativity and create something new in the lawn under the shade of the Banyan tree. Supplies included. 10 am to 1 pm, every last Sunday of the month, unless there is a change indicated in the online calendar.
- FTF Children’s Show “American Stories”: Host Mark Twain introduces American Classics in storytelling and tall tales. Fantasy Theatre Factory performers add their own TALL dose of imagination as they act out stories that illustrate early American humor, determination and ingenuity. Indian Legends, Appalachian Folk Tales and other Tales from the South are brought to life before your eyes. Free and open to the community. 12 to 1:30 pm.
