Spectrum Miami show and Miami Art Week events

Spectrum Miami, a juried contemporary art show, is a five-day fine art experience featuring top galleries from the United States and around the world, plus live performances, late-night parties and curated projects.

This year, the show is co-locating with Red Dot Art Fair in a new location in Miami’s Arts and Entertainment District, at 1700 NE Second Ave., Miami, FL 33132. Spectrum Miami runs Wednesday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 6.

specctrum-miami-artspot-ancizar-marin“Spectrum Miami will truly have everything—a full spectrum of artwork from galleries and studios featuring career artists, as well as exciting events and special programming,” said Eric Smith, president of Redwood Media Group.

VIP and General Admission tickets will be honored at both Spectrum Miami and Red Dot. Parking will be available on site, or you can take the MetroMover to the Omni station and walk to the venue.

The theme for Spectrum Miami 2015 is EMERGENCE—Innovative Vision Coming to Life. The event will include art talks and panel discussions; cutting-edge film, video, and new media works; and a curated selection of emerging and spotlight artists. You can see a schedule of events here.

This year’s special exhibition will be ARTE Cuba, curated by Stacy Conde, an established gallerist specializing in Cuban art. ARTE Cuba will include modern, contemporary, and cutting-edge art from galleries, dealers and the artists themselves.

spectrum-miami-tanya-garvis-reflectionSpectrum Miami will once again host ArtSpot International, a show within a show curated by director Aldo Castillo, an authority on modern and contemporary art. ArtSpot will present carefully selected painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and ceramics with a strong Latin American slant.

Tickets for Spectrum Miami’s Opening Night Preview are $25. General admission tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $20. Admission is free on Thursday and Friday. A VIP WEEK PASS for $25 grants the holder and one guest access to all show days, plus the opening night preview. and is valid for both Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Art Fair.
