Art Basel Miami Beach canceled for 2020

The most important annual arts event in South Florida will not happen this year.

Organizers of Art Basel have announced that the 2020 edition has been canceled.

According to a Facebook post: “We regret to announce that the 2020 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach has been canceled. As the artworld continues to face momentous challenges, we remain firmly committed to supporting the global gallery community and look forward to when we can meet again. #artbasel

This mammoth global cultural event typically takes place in December, helping to support galleries, as well as the greater Miami arts community and economy.

HIVE

Cocktail & Culinary Experience

Four-day event with handcrafted cocktails in the Mixology area, live performances and DJ’s, live street art and pop up installations by local artists and food hall with exclusive bites. Food and drinks are for purchase.

BREAKFAST IN THE PARK

This annual event welcomes guests to enjoy a complimentary breakfast and listen to contemporary sculptor and photographer Petah Coyne. Coyne’s elaborately detailed assemblages hang from ceilings and erupt from the floor. She uses molten wax, silk flowers, fabric and taxidermy to create works that evoke gothic narratives and the excess of the Rococo.

MANA CONTEMPORARY MIAMI

BOTERO ON LINCOLN ROAD
