Certainly our holiday celebrations are very different this year, and multidisciplinary artist Taylor Mac brings that to this virtual performance, which has been scheduled for 7-8 p.m. Dec. 12.

Billed as the organization’s “most subversive and cathartic event of the season,” the show blends music, film, burlesque and other random acts.
According to organizers: “As a tribute to Mac’s drag mother, each institution presenting Holiday Sauce…Pandemic! is honoring local elders, collectively referred to as the Queens, who have made a significant contribution to nurturing the LGBTQ community in their city. For this fabulous honor, Mac and Live Arts Miami have selected HIV/AIDS and bisexual rights activist Luigi Ferrer, co-founder of Pridelines Youth Services.”
Following the performance will be an after-party, featuring special performances by Miami drag artists and surprise guests.
The Dec. 12 performance will be available on demand, on a pay-what-you-can basis between Dec. 13 and Jan. 2 on the Live Arts Miami website. All proceeds will benefit the MDC Pride Scholarship for LGBTQ students and Holiday Sauce artists, according to organizers.
