Halloween “treats” don’t have to be limited to candy. Restaurants big and small are offering special treats for this holiday season.
Some deals are only valid on Oct. 31, while others are good before or after or both! (Note: Some offers require a costume.)

Tijuana Flats: Through Oct. 31, share your best Tex-Mex inspired costume for the chance to win a $50 gift card. All you have to do is tag @tijuanaflats and use #FlatsFrightFest. The restaurant chain will announce three winners on Nov. 2. Miami-Dade County has one location: 13256 Biscayne Blvd., North Miami. Phuc Yea: The popular spot is offering a variety of their Pho and noodle dishes for $13 on Nov. 1 as a “come back to life on Day of the Dead” promo. Choose from Classic Beef Pho, Coriander Chicken Pho or Veggie Noodle Soup. 7100 Biscayne Blvd., Miami.
McAlister’s Deli: From Oct. 30 through Nov. 1, children wearing a Halloween costume get a free kids’ meal with the purchase of an adult entree. This deal is valid for dine-in only. Children must be age 12 and younger and must order from the kids’ menu. Additionally, if you post a photo of your kid(s) (12 or younger) in their costumes and add the hashtag #McAlistersHalloween in the caption, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a month’s worth of free kids’ meals! Carvel: Wednesdays are Sundaes at Carvel – and a BOGO deal day. When you buy a classic, soft-serve sundae, you get one FREE only on Wednesday. Also, for a limited time, try the Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween Hocus Pocus Shake.
Eating House: Grab a few Halloween-themed specials on Oct. 31. During brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. indulge in Snickers French Toast ($13) and during dinner from 6-10:30 p.m. have the Reese’s Dirt Cup for dessert ($10). 804 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables.
Insomnia Cookies: On Oct. 31, wear your costume to the Miami Beach location and get a free cookie, no purchase necessary. There’s also a BOGO deal for “Wiches.” The bakery chain, which delivers nationwide, will also be offering special themed cookies for sale, including a Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookie, Peanut Butter Choco-Lantern Cookie and Moon Cookie Cake with Halloween Center. Sonic Drive-In: Are you craving the tiny Halloween candy bars? For a limited time, get a chocolate Trick or Treat Blast and satisfy your sweet tooth. Steak ‘n Shake: On Oct. 31, all children younger than 12 who wear a Halloween costume can receive a free kid’s shake of their choice.
Krispy Kreme: Try the new Scary Sweet Monster Doughnuts! Also, Krispy Kreme is offering a $1 Sweet-or-Treat Saturday dozen with the purchase of any dozen doughnuts. As an added sweet surprise, anhyone who wears a costume on Oct. 31 will receive a free doughnut of choice, while supplies last. Click here for more details.
Applebee’s: Add a dozen Double Crunch Shrimp to your steak order for just $1. Try a Tipsy Zombie or a Dracula’s Juice for $5 during the month of October.
