Changes are coming to Publix Supermarkets’ store hours.
Starting May 16, the Lakeland-based chain will end its reduced-hour schedule and its reserved senior shopping hours.

The new hours are:
- For the supermarket: Expanded schedule of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
- For the pharmacy: Regular operating hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, with weekend hours varying by location. Click here to see the weekend hours at your nearest store.
On its website, Publix said: “We do understand some customers prefer to shop when the stores are less crowded. We encourage you to shop during the first hour of the day, when we can better accommodate that need.”
