Florida performers join forces in music festival fundraiser

Here’s your chance to listen to some tunes and give a helping hand at the same time.

South Florida performers are joining forces for a Bands for Hands music festival, which is intended to assist restaurant professionals and others out of work during this time of social distancing.

The virtual event is set for 2 p.m. April 18, live on the Facebook page

Donations during the festival support Hospitality Helping Hands, which is working to provide food for unemployed people in the hospitality industry and others. 

From its website: “Hospitality Helping Hands is a not for profit formed to help feed the hospitality workers, their families, local charities, and others in need due to the Corona Virus shutdown.  Our mission is simple and directly impacts the local community.”

The festival is streamed live from popular venues in West Palm Beach, following social distancing guidelines.
