Our note to you

Our note to you

As we all face so much uncertainty right now, there’s one thing we’re certain about – and that’s our mission of helping the community have fun without breaking the family budget.

At Miami on the Cheap, we’ve reached thousands and thousands of area neighbors while impacting so many small businesses. And we’re not going anywhere.

We will continue to be right here – waiting in your inbox every morning. Our team will continue publishing the best deals and events in the Miami area – even though we’re faced with the unpredictability of the current crisis and its impact on community events, gatherings and giveaways.

We anticipate fewer events and lots of cancellations. In the immediate future, we’re doing our best to stay on top of last-minute cancellations and updating our posts and events calendar accordingly.

We will continue to update our site to reflect the major events that get canceled. We will mark these events as “canceled” or “postponed” in our Events Calendar.

Now more than ever, it will be important for you to check the status of every event. Click on the link to an event’s official website or Facebook page to find all the details, including cancellation status.

But this is important:

Just because an event is taking place, and we list it, doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily a smart idea to go. Please avoid crowds. Stay home if you can. Take advantage of our wonderful parks. We need to work together to stop the spread of this disease. Even if you feel fine, you could be infected, and you could pass it on to someone with a compromised immune system.

On the flip side, we expect more deals and discounts, as businesses look for creative ways to increase sales in the months ahead. There will still be lots of fun and bargains to be found – maybe just in different ways.

Basically, our content will probably be a little chaotic for the next little while. However, every bargain-hunter knows that to truly save money you must always be flexible.

Given the nature of what’s going on, the summer schedule may be vastly different, too. However, we’re staying positive and hopeful everything will calm down soon.

We’re also a small business that may be adversely affected financially, as the economy struggles in the foreseeable future. You help us stay afloat every time you visit our site, share a post through social media, or purchase an item via an affiliate link. Thank you, in advance, for continuing to do that.

Finally, Miami on the Cheap has always been a community of good people who just happen to appreciate saving money. To this end, we encourage you to continue helping our “community of frugal friends” stay informed. Let us know if an event has been canceled, if you found a great deal in your neighborhood, or if you have a story idea that might be helpful to others. You can always reach us at info@miamionthecheap.com.

Together, we can navigate this new landscape until everything gets back to normal…or, at least, a “new normal.” However, we don’t think saving money will ever go out of style, right?
