As part of the efforts to re-imagine the NW 7th Avenue Corridor, Miami-Dade County District 2 Commissioner Jean Monestime and the Community Redevelopment Agency are hosting the free Third Annual Uptown Avenue 7 Arts & Culture Festival. The day-long event is happening Saturday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Arcola Lakes Public Library.
The day’s festivities include:
- Family Yoga with Uptown Avenue 7
- Pop-up art exhibit by MUCE – The Miami Urban Contemporary Experience
- Uptown Vendor Village with 23 heritage vendors
- Kids’ Zone
- Music by headliner Howard Hewett along with Larry Dogg, Elements the Brand, DJ Mack, DJ Self Born and A. Fly Guy
- Parade of Cultures with Rara Lakay, Junkanoo, 305 LIVE Band and Hora Loca Light Show
- Holiday giveaway
- Cultural bites with heritage food trucks Roots ‘n Seeds Cantina, Caribbean Bites & Delights and Latin Fixins’
