The summer of 1969. Moon landings and the very first Woodstock. A season of peace and love, also a time when the center for music and togetherness was located in the beautiful Coconut Grove neighborhood.
 
The Coconut Grove Business Improvement District is reviving that special moment in the historic neighborhood’s past, and transforming Peacock Park into a day of peace and music with a free Tribute to Woodstock event on June 1 from 5-8 p.m.  in honor of the epic concert’s 50th Anniversary.
 
Festivities include:
  • Live music by singer Shira Lee performing two 1960s tribute sets of folk, jam and rock-fueled adaptations of Woodstock classics
  • Art activations
  • Kids activities
