The United States Navy is getting ready to anchor in Miami for the city’s first ever Navy Week from March 25-31. As a part of the festivities, the USS New York (LPD-21) will be hosting public tours of the ship from March 26-28 at PortMiami. Tours are free and open to the public, but registration is required by March 18 for persons or groups interested in participating in a tour. A registration page for specific tour dates and times can be found on the Miami Navy Week website at www.outreach.navy.mil/Navy-Weeks/Miami/.
This is the first time in the program’s history they’ll be outside the continental United States. Navy Weeks focus a variety of outreach assets, equipment and personnel on a single city for a week-long series of engagements with key influencers and organizations representing all sectors of the market. Miami Navy Week is scheduled for March 25-31, 2019 and is designed to give area residents an opportunity to learn about the Navy our nation needs.
