The City of Miami is hosting a free community event at Jose Marti Park on Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to celebrate the planned adaptive redesign of the park in Little Havana, which is being carried out as part of the Miami Forever bond program.
It’s also part of Current, a Sea Level Rise Challenge for Greater Miami a project by Van Alen Institute.
The celebration will feature special activities for local families, including:
- A free Zumba class
- Mural and face painting
- Free tacos and arepas
- A performance by local band Elastic Bond
