Free ZunZún Children’s Fest goes virtual

FUNDarte’s annual kickoff season event,  ZunZún Children’s Fest, is going virtual this year.

That means that on Oct. 11 at 11 a.m., there will be a virtual presentation and book launch.

Even virtually, though, expect the same international flair and flavor of past years’ events.

  • Lucky Díaz from Los Angeles
  • Lucy Kalantary and Jesse Bisceglia from New York
  • 123Andrés from Washington, D.C.
  • Eddy Díaz, Rita Rosa Ruesga, Inez Barlatier, Pavel Urkiza and Hector Pepo Herrera from Miami
  • María del Sol Peralta from Colombia

The “Color Caribe” downloadable songbook was illustrated by renowned Hispanic and Caribbean artists: Soledad Sebastián from Santiago, Chile; Claudia Navarro from Mexico City; Valerio from Colombia; Jorge Luis Mendoza and Marcos Menéndez from Miami; and Omar Santana from New Jersey.

The songbook will be available on the website: Fundarte.us.  A digital video presentation of the book has also been created, which can be viewed live on FUNDarte’s YouTube channel: Youtube.com/c/fundarteusnonprofit

After the songbook presentation, three digital workshops will be released by illustrator Soledad Sebastián, writer Sergio Andricaín and illustrator Valerio.

ZunZún Children’s Fest celebrates Latino/Hispanic heritage with cultural programming for families that features bilingual projects.
