Sunday, April 14, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., people with disabilities and their families will enjoy an unforgettable seaside experience that includes boat rides, a Fun Zone, exhibitors, and lots of beach activities, as part of the Flip Flop Family Fun Fest & Expo at Haulover Beach Park, 10800 Collins Ave. The free event is presented by Miami-Dade Parks Disability Services.
The event showcases a wide-range of adaptive sports and recreation activities, such as canoeing, kayaking, and beach wheelchair rides, among others, all of which have been modified or redesigned, so that those with mobility concerns can travel with ease and explore the sand and surf in a whole new way.
