Gifford Lane Art Stroll

Gifford Lane Art Stroll

The Gifford Lane Art Stroll will return for its 22nd year on Sunday, March 1, from noon to 5 p.m. The free event takes place along Gifford Lane in Coconut Grove, a normally sleepy little residential block near the Kirk Monroe tennis courts between Oak and Day Avenues (3200 block). The event is free.

The Art Stroll features the work of 70 artists, including many from Coconut Grove. Their art will be displayed along the lane on fences, easels, clotheslines, ladders — and even in trees.

Painter Trina Collins, the artistic director of the Stroll, will provide samples of her famous Cucumber Punch.

The event also will include live music from the high-energy rock band Solar Dogs while kids enjoy a bounce house and jugglers plus, the Humane Society will be in attendance doing pet adoptions.

Proceeds, including a percentage of each art sale, will go to the St. Stephen’s AIDS Ministry and the St. Alban’s Child Enrichment Center in the Village West.

Bike Coconut Grove will provide a free monitored Bike Valet” down at the end of the lane along the tennis court fence at Gifford and Oak Avenue.
